We just moved back to Cache Valley last year. It's been fun seeing a lot of classmates.
Since graduation I -
Married Kerry Rood (Coos Bay, OR) 1989
Graduated from USU in Medical Dietetics - 1992
M.S. in Nutrition, USU - 1994
We've moved a lot starting with Manhattan KS, 93-97; Coos Bay OR, 97-98; Riverton UT 98-03; Barre VT 04-07; and back to Cache Valley in 07!
I currently teach Nutrition 1020 courses for Utah State. My husband is a Veterinarian and professor at USU.
We have 3 lovely daughters. Kiersten - 16, Paige - 11, Erica - 8.
It sure doesn't seem like it's been 20 years!

Hey Rachel!

I was wondering if you were going to pop up on the website or not! After sitting by you in so many classes by virtue of our last names, I was curious what you were up to now! Sounds like you are doing great! I'm trying to get down to the reunion, but being up in Seattle is putting a slight crimp in that plan.

Rachel -

Remember weight lifting class with that the crusty football coach? Ahhhhh, the memories! I wish I could be at the reunion - it would be fun to see you. I'm so glad to see you have a Kiersten (even if you spelled her name wrong;). I have a Paige also!! I just had my fourth girl. I never would have thought I'd have a family full of girls, but it's fun, isn't it?

Rachel,

Looks like I will be making it down for the festivities, unfortunately with no family in Seattle to babysit for us, my wife gets to stay home with the kiddies. Looking forward to seeing you and catching up!

As soon as my side stops hurting from all of the laughing at the "does your face hurt" joke, I'll post a comment.

Hi Rachel

It was fun talking with you this summer during swim. I did not realize you lived across the street from my employee Chases family. One day I stopped by their house to pick up life vests. I turned around and Paige was standing in the drive way. I told her to tell you Hi. Hope to see you at the reunion.

Okay. The pain in my side has now subsided and by the way, yes, my face does hurt sometimes. So as it turns out, we were practically neighbors back east (if you remove the approx. 15 year time element of course). I lived in an apartment above a barn in South Royalton, Vt. and then just down the road in North Conway, NH. I also spent a lot of time in Brattleboro, Vt. when I was "stationed" in Keene, NH. Vermont is beautiful; however, the people are a bit odd. Did you, by chance, happen to meet Lester Corwin?

Rachel,

Don't worry about Kiersten. No matter how you spell it, it's a unique name. The beauty of it is that, even if someone pronounces it wrong, no one else in the room answers to it at the same time. It's nice to be unique.

I wish I could see you at the reunion. I'm sure it will be fun.

Hey Rachel,

I had forgotten that you had gotten your degree in Dietetics (if that is how you spell it). When I started back in school at USU post-mission, I now remember that my sister Janet Anderson would tell me how good of a student you were; that Rachel Taylor was her star student, and on and on and on. Now, how was I supposed to compete with that? ;)

Funny also to see that you were just out here on the East Coast, not far from Maine. We've been here since 2001. Anyway, congrats on getting back to USU. Tell my sister that I still can't compete with you.

Rachel, so glad to hear you are doing well, we were probably neighbors, I've been at my home in South Jordan since 01. You were always so smart and such a great student, I think it's great that you are teaching. We have 3 girls too, it's great. Hope to see you at the reunion.
