Nice work, Dr. Injun! Good to see this thing gathering steam.
Hope we can get as close to the whole group showin up as possible. I've heard stories about the Class of 87's 20th last year. Based on the 10th reunion, I wasn't into attending this one, but my mind has been changed.
Okay, so what HAVE I been doing for the last 20 years? Well...
After kicking around Snow College for a couple years, I met my soulmate, Jodie, on Main Street in Logan, and were married in '92. It was kinda funny, 'cause we both ran with the same group, but had never crossed paths until that one night. We lived in Ogden and Clinton until '99, when we moved back to the valley, so I could go to USU. In '05, I graduated with a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and then we moved to Las Vegas to start our new lives. We live in Henderson with our dog, Gracie. No kids for us (WHEW!). So that's the short version. We're pretty much like everyone else, I'd suppose...just trying to make a living and stay above ground.
Holy Cow Metal Mike, glad to see that you are still alive!
I am glad to read a small blurb about you. I wish more people would post an update, because like most everyone, I have lost contact with almost everyone from the old MC. Also, living in Maine means that I am not going to make this reunion. I'm hoping to make the 25th, if I am still on the right side of the dirt by then.
How are you neighbor? Small world huh?? It was fun to read your post, and see what you've been up to for the past SHORT 20 years :) It will be fun catching up with everyone at the reunion, and you'll need to go over all the do's and don'ts of Vegas with me since I'm still some what of a rookie! See you in a few weeks. Take care!
Hey Mike- I'm hoping to make it to the reunion. It's our oldest daughters homecoming date that night and I want to be here when he picks her up. Maybe I'll have to call him and tell him to come early so I can make it to the dinner at 6pm! So far I'm planning to go, so we'll c/ya there! :) Jod
Okay Mike as I read through these comments I think you have left one on everyone's but mine. I am feeling a little left out. Maybe you don't remember me. I was a good friend of Jodie's and well maybe that will spark your memory ;) See you soon.. Kelli Moon
Now come on! You can't tell me that you yourself aren't surprised to still be alive and kickin'?! :) So for some reason I knew that you had gotten your M.S. but I thought it was in Watershed Science. But, little did I know that you lived in Wellsville at one point. So did you ever run into Ben Schulz while in Vegas? Regarding the weather in the desert, been there done that, for long enough. We lived in Tucson for over 5 years. I loved the desert, but the continual summer weather got old. I am happy to be back in seasons.....although I don't care for the "Mud Season" here in Maine, you know the one that follows winter and come before summer. Great to hear from you and see your scattered posts on this site.
So, Mr. VanHansen it seems as though you should have been coaching a little league football team or something along the way. Or is that still in the cards? I wonder how your dad is?
Mike, It was good to see you again. You were always a great friend and awesome teammate - and a great football player - it was a lot of fun. Good luck down in Vegas - don't lose too much money down there. Kelly
It was great seeing you this weekend even though I didn't get a chance to talk to you much. You still look so much the same minus your hair (or lack of)and I don't remember you having glasses. I also didn't get a chance to give you a hard time for dumping me a few weeks into our Freshman year!! :)
We will have to meet up one of these days for lunch or dinner. I work for the Contractors Board, so if you're ever in the Green Valley area let me know!
Hey there you, yes, I had a blast at Talladega... and yes, you got your wish.... they just kept blowing tires like crazy and it finally got Jr. But it was still fun anyway. It was great to see you, I had a blast with all of you at the OWL.... We definitely need to keep in touch. Do you have a Myspace page??? Are you on Heidi's??? Send me a friends request so we can keep in touch....Me and my husband and Shantel Schvaneveldt and her husband are probably going to come to the Nascar Race in Vegas in March... we will have to get together... what do you think???? Do you go to that race??? Well chat at you later... Kim
